虽然司马迁的史书上说秦始皇的陵墓里有大量珠宝,但至今还还没有发掘。陵墓始建于公元前246年,据说使用了七十万个劳工,耗费38年才完成。依据史学家 司马迁的记载,秦始皇同大量珍宝和工艺品一起埋在陵墓里,陵墓里的顶部是用大量宝石制作的天象、地上流动的水银代表了主要的大江大河,寝陵顶部的珍珠代表 星球等。
The Terracotta Army are the Terracotta Warriors and Horses , which were constructed for the the First Emperor of Qin dynasty(221-206 BCE),the purpose was to help rule another empire with Qin ShiHuang in the afterlife. The terracotta figures were discovered in 1974 in Xi'an, Shanxi province, China near the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor.The terracotta figures are life-like and life-sized. They were arranged in battle formations and vary in height(183–195cm), uniform and hairstyle in accordance with rank. The figures include warriors, cavalries, bowmen, chariots, horses, officials and musicians. It is estimated that there were over 7,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalries in the three pits, the majority of which are still buried in the pits.Each figurine was armed with a bronze weapon of that period. Over 10,000 bronze weapons have been excavated so far from the site. These include swords, daggers, billhooks, spears, halberds, axes, crossbow triggers, and arrowheads.
Qin's tomb itself remains unexcavated, though Siam Qian's writings suggest huge amounts of treasures. Construction of this mausoleum began in 246 BC and is believed to have taken 700,000 workers and craftsmen 38 years to complete.According to the Grand Historian Sima Qian, Qin Shi Huangdi was interred inside the tomb with great amounts of treasure and objects of craftsmanship, as well as a scale replica of the universe complete with gemmed ceilings representing the cosmos, and flowing mercury representing the great earthly bodies of water. Pearls were also placed on the ceilings in the tomb to represent the stars, planets, etc.
